I've slacked off.

Reality struck me today...again...

Hey Jen - just becuase you're boxing again and running more miles doesn't mean you get to eat sh*t! HELLLLOOOO...remember? You're trying to LOSE weight, not maintain! Silly, silly, Jen!

I shouldn't really say I'm eating sh*t, I'm not, I'm just not eating the way someone who is trying to lose weight should eat. I will admit that I have had bouts of it, but it hasn't been a constant thing. I justify it saying "Well between my 3 mile run, boxing, and abs class I burned 800 calories, I can have ice cream." or "I just ran 8 miles, I can eat whatever the hell I want!" - Yeah, if you want to maintain, of course you can, you burned a lot of calories, you can eat more, but if you want to continue to lose more, you cannot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not starving myself. The days I burn more calories, I do eat a little more (I just don't need to eat a lot more).

I posted my photo journal about 6 weeks ago or so and set some goals. I haven't been keeping up with it. Mark my words. Monday, September 28 there WILL be a new photo up with an honest assessment. I really want to post on that page at least once a month, it DOES keep me motivated, and keeps me honest.

I'm going to get strict again.

How? - Every meal will contain at least 2 portions of fruits and/or veggies and I will have at least 2 snacks every day! I'm drinking plenty of water (about 3 liters a day). I'm also going to start writing in a food journal again, I noticed I started slacking when I sopped using it.

  2. Story of my life! I run marathons and GAIN weight. What part of the game is that? I like food too much to get back on the wagon but I'll live vicariously through your discipline. You go girl!

  3. Good food goals, lady! Fruits, veggies, and water are necessary, I suppose... I'm a total eat sh*t person too! Bad food is sooooo good. Best wishes for getting back on track (and send some my way, will ya?)!!
