I'm alive!

Just a quick post to let you know that I'm alive. I love all your comments! Since pulled in several different directions until the end of March, I will be sporadic but I am alive!

I will try to post comments on your blogs, but commenting on my blog will certainly remind me to read yours!

So anyway...

What's up next?
My next race is coming up soon and I'm getting pretty excited! This will be my 4th half marathon. The first one was awesome (which is why I'm doing it again this year)! The second one sucked (freezing pouring rain for the last 7 miles, unorganized, ran out of food/drink)! The third one was just brutal (recovering from the swine flu just a few weeks before the race)! SO...I'm looking for a redemption and a PR!

Chicago in the future?
My dad emailed me today about the Chicago Marathon. He's my coach/trainer, and he does several IronMan races and marathons a year. He was going to come out and do the Austin Full while I did the half, but it just didn't work out. With that said, I'd LOVE to do a race with him! I mean come on, it's my dad! How cool would that be?! I am planning on doing my first full marathon this year. I was going to do the Long Beach in October, but the Chicago might be totally cool. Afterall, it IS on my list of races I want to do before I the way, I have that list, I'll post it up here one of these days! :) Another plus for bff lives there! We want to try to do a difference race together every year...maybe 2010 is the year for Chicago? I'll keep you posted.

As many of you know, I'm trying to lose the last little bit of weight...well, I'm doing it! I've added some serious cross training to the mix and completely changed my eating habits. I'm eating small meals very frequently. About 300 calorie meals 5-6 times a day. So far, so good! And my arms are getting jacked! ;) Won't be long before I'm FINALLY at my goal weight! Oh how sweet that will be.

Alright, that's about it...for now.

  6. I'm loving following your mini meals on Twitter. I'm anxious to see how this works for you. I'm always hungry because I never manage to pack enough healthy options for work. Then I over eat as soon as I get home because Im famished!
