Ah, man!

Argh!  This is the second time that it’s happened (not in a row – thankfully).  I didn’t lose at least 1 lb this week.  I lost 1.4 pounds since my last “official” weigh in, 2 weeks ago.  However, I unofficially weighed myself last Wednesday (9 days ago) and was 177.  Today, I’m 176.6.  That means that in a week and a half, I lost .4 pounds.  THIS is why I should not weigh myself midweek.

What is even more frustrating, is that I set milestone goals for myself.  My next one is 175lbs by Friday, May 4.  That is 1 week from today.  Which means I need to lose 1.4 pounds in 1 week.  If I can’t make it, I can’t make it, not the end of the world.  I’m just REALLY trying to make goal weight by mid-September.  In order to do that, I need to lose 5 pounds every 3 weeks until the last 10 pounds.  I get 8 weeks to lose the last 10 – I figure it’s hardest to lose that last 10…right?

So, here’s my plan for this week.  Here is how I hope to lose those 1.4 pounds in 7 days.
  • Weight Watchers took yet ANOTHER point from me today!  My daily allotment is now 29 points (I started with 31) 
  • I still get 49 weekly bonus points.  It’s my goal to only use those on beer if I need the extra points.  (Remember, I only have 1 beer on days I work out, and 1 each weekend day)
  • Still working out with my trainer 3 days a week.  I’ll probably add cardio in tomorrow or Sunday to get that 4th day in.

I really think that if I work out all 3 or 4 days and keep within my daily points, I’ll be able to lose it.  We will see.

I’m just trying to set realistic goals and help keep my motivated WITHOUT becoming obsessed with the scale.  If I can’t reach this mini goal, I may need to reassess.  We’ll see.
