Has it actually been nearly three years since I wrote last? Lot's has changed. Lots.
For starters...I'm a mommy now. To a human. But don't worry, I'm still a mommy to Winston too.
I stopped running. Although, if I read back, I'm sure I probably stopped running while I was still semi-actively writing here.
So, why am I here? Well...I was looking through timehop and noticed that I posted a recipe on Facebook. And it got me reading through old posts. I have some good info here. Maybe not to you, but that's ok, I wrote for me, mostly.
Anyways...I am not promising that this will stay updated. Hell. This could be my last post until 2019. You never know. BUT, I'm training for another half marathon. This will be my fifth (race recaps: 1, 2, 3, 4). First in many, many years (Feb 2010 to be exact). And first post baby of course. The running community is a tight-knit one. And so is the blogging community. Actually I have real-life friends and long-standing social media friends who I've met from this exact blog. So I'm hoping that maybe someone has been there...or I can lend some encouragement on how I do this...train for a half marathon with a tiny baby and a full time job.
I'm six weeks away from the Austin Half Marathon. It was my first. You can read how it all began.
I'm doing this for me. I'm doing this for my daughter. I'm doing this to be healthy. I'm doing this because I really do enjoy it.
