About the Blog
Some of you have been reading for a long time, back when it was 100% about running.  Well, as you can tell, it's not 100% about running anymore.  This is a catch-all for everything Jen.  Reality is, there is more to me than just running and I talk about more than just running, so I'll blog about just running.  From weight loss, to my favorite song for the minute, to my out of control obsession admiration with tall high heels - sprinkled with that crude sense of humor you all love!

About Jen
I think I'm hilarious; I'm sure you do too.

I'm a Southern California girl at heart.  I called Santa Barbara home until I was 15 when my family moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area.  I finished my high school years there, become a Sun Devil at Arizona State University.  It was at ASU where I met the man of my dreams.  We fell in love, and 2 crazy months after we graduated from college (at ages 20 and 21), we moved to Austin, Texas together so he could attend the University of Texas at Austin School of Law (14th best school in the nation - it's ok to brag when it's about someone else - don't judge me, you'd brag too).  In 2011, about 1 year after he graduated from Law School, we finally tied the knot.  I'm an advocate for Austin, trailer food, the Longhorns, and rescuing animals (both my pup are rescues).

My life is nothing how I ever imagined it would be, and I'd have it no other way.

I believe in hard work, determination, love, faith, local brews, and a really good glass of wine.

I don't really know where it came from.  Maybe it was years of tip-toeing around making sure that everyone got along, but I'm a speak now, think later kinda gal in my old age.

I don't take myself seriously, I'm an open book, I am stubborn as hell, and am completely unapologetic.  I am who I am.  I write the way I write.  End of story.  I get that it's not for everyone, so if you don't like it, don't read it. And I say that with complete sincerity.

I also may have an obsession with skinny jeans & high heels.
